Our story
Hi, I'm Andrew. I grew up in the UK and now live in Hungary, with family spread between the UK and Asia.
Our small family business makes StoryTribute, and Simirity Family Journal too.
Where it started
When both my parents fell seriously ill, I realized how many of our family's stories only they could tell.
Our family chats and shared photo albums kept us in touch, but they never really held those stories. So I started Simirity Family Journal, a private place where a family can keep its stories together, wherever everyone lives.
Over time, I saw how often families turn to their stories when someone dies, and how much it helps to share what everyone remembers.
What I missed at a friend's funeral
Not long ago, a family friend died. Everyone there had known them at a different time of their life.
Their website asked for a message and a photo, so that's what people left. I'd have loved to hear their stories, and that was the moment to hear them.
Why we made StoryTribute
The memorial websites we found asked for a message, a photo or a donation. We wanted one that asks for stories.
We called it StoryTribute, because the stories are the whole point.
How StoryTribute stays free
StoryTribute is free, with no ads and nothing to buy or donate. After the first year, you can move every story, photo and recording into Simirity Family Journal, and that's free too.
Some families keep going there, and Simirity's paid plan pays for StoryTribute. Nobody here will ask you for money.
